Summary The mono-, di-, tri-and tetrasulfides of ethyl formate, ethyl thioformate and ethyl dithioformate have been prepared and some of their reactions studied. The four sulfides show the same reactions in each group. Substitution of sulfur in the terminal groups intensifies the color of each series.
