Abstract n-Hexyl-, n-decyl-, n-tetradecyl-and n-octadecyl-α-and β-naphthyl sulfide have been prepared by alkylation of the thionaphthols with p-toluene-sulfonates, and the sulfones by oxydation of the sulfides with hydrogen peroxide. The physical properties are being described.
