Abstract A number of unsymmetrical acyl thioacyl sulfides [RC (S) S (O) CR'] have been prepared and characterized by the reaction of piperidinium or sodium dithiocarboxylates with acyl chlorides or by desulfurization reaction of acyl thioacyl disulfides with triphenylphosphine.
