Chemistry. The 3-(trichloroethenyl) aniline (3) required as starting material was obtained by reduction of 3-(pentachloroethyl) aniline6 (2) with zinc in ethanol or by reduction of 3- (pentach10roethyl) nitrobenzene~(1) with iron in aqueous ethanol containing a catalytic amount of hydrochloric acid.
