Abstract The anti-epileptic agent remacemide hydrochloride has been prepared labelled with 14 C, from [carbonyl-14 C] acetophenone, and with 13 C from [13 C 6] benzene,[1, 2-13 C] acetyl chloride and [1-13 C] glycine.[2-3 H] Glycine was utilised to prepare remacemide labelled with tritium at low specific activity.
