The daphniphyllum alkaloids have inspired organic chemists to devise novel strategies and to develop tailored methods aimed at synthesizing these complex structures.[1, 2] The daphmanidins constitute a recent addition to this structurally diverse class of alkaloids isolated from Daphniphyllaceae.
