Corresponding N,-methylated analogues 3a-h as major products. The structures of 3a and 3b were established by their chemical conversions to known 2-methyl-5, 6-dipheny1-1, 2, 4- triazin-3 (2H)-one (6) and ita 4, 5-dihydro derivative (!;), respectively.
