Abstract The reaction of both primary perfluoroalkyl iodides and bromides containing 3∼ 12 carbon atoms [CF 3 (CF 2) n X, n= 2∼ 11, X= Br, I] with a Rongalite-NaHCO 3 reagent in aqueous dipolar aprotic solvents, such as DMF or DMSO, has been investigated.
