Abstract Thio-ARBUZOV-Reactions of dialkyl sulfoxylates and methyl benzenesulfenate, respectively, with several aromatic and aliphatic ω, ω'-bis (bromomethyl) arenes and- alkenes result in formation of new disulfinyl derivatives, ie disulfinates and disulfoxides. Eight new sulfinic esters and three new sulfoxides have been synthesized and characterized by their physical and spectroscopic data.
