摘要

Convenient laboratory procedures are described for the preparation of methyl and ethyl aluminum dichlorides. Attempts to prepare propyl and butyl aluminum chlorides were unsuccessful. Methyl and ethyl aluminum dichlorides gave 65-90% yields of ketones by reaction with simple acid chlorides. A dibasic acid chloride, adipyl chloride, gave a 35% yield of 2, 7-octdnedione with methyl aluminum dichloride. The reactions of methyl and ...
