Catalytic amounts of Pd(OAc) 2 in the presence of -Bu 4 NCl, DMF and an appropriate base (Na 2 CO 3 , (NaOAc or Et 3 N) cyclize nitrogen-containing -iodoaryl alkenes to indoles, indolines,3 oxindoles, quinolines, isoquinolines and isoquinolones in short reaction times, under mild temperatures, and in high yields. ...
