Abstract The partially diethylamino substituted phenyl-chloromono-and-disilanes Cl 2 Ph (NEt 2) Si (2) Cl 2 Ph (NEt 2) 2 Si (3),[ClPh (NEt 2) Si-] 2 (7) and Cl (NEt 2) PhSi [BOND] SiPh (NEt 2) 2 (8) were synthesized. 3 and 8 are able to react with lithium powder to form the corresponding silyllithium compounds.
