The synthesis of a series of new pyridine aminomethylphosphinic acids is described. These compounds were obtained in the reaction of the corresponding pyridine aldehydes with primary amines and with ethyl phenylphosphinate, or methylphosphinate, in the presence of bromotrimethylsilane.
