A number of isopropyl-β-ketosulphinyl chlorides has been synthesised and their PMR spectra studied. Magnetic non-equivalence of the alpha gem-dimethyl groups is, in general, observed together with, in certain cases, magnetic non-equivalence of suitably positioned methylene and methine H atoms.
