Preparation of 3, 3'-Methylenebia-(ehydc~~~) Monoethyl Ether.-The monoethyl ether was prepared by a method similar to the one described for the monomethyl ether. From the action of a hot sodium ethoxide solution on 1.3 g. of the dehydration product, 0.9 g. of the rnono-ethyl ether, mp 163-166', was obtained after two recrystallizations from ethanol.
