Abstract An improvement to the use of DMF as a solvent for the condensation of 2- chlorobenzoic acids with aliphatic primary or secondary amines was described. A number of alkylaminobenzoic acids and dialkylaminobenzoic acids were synthesized in acceptable-to- good yield.
