May-Jun 1995 Synthetic Routes to Indenopyridine Analogues of Morphactins 1053 EXPERIMENTAL Benzo[/]quinoline, benzo[/i]quinoline and 5tf-indeno[l,2-i>]- pyridine (4-azafluorene) were obtained from Aldrich Chemical Co. Ltd., Gillingham, Dorset, UK, Melting points were deter- mined in open glass capillary tubes using an Electrothermal melting apparatus and are uncorrected.
