摘要

Summary A method is described for removal of the acetyl groups from methyl 2, 3, 4-triacetyl- 6-iodo-6-desoxy-aD-glucopyranoside without other changes. Methyl 6-iodo-6-desoxy-~~-~- glucopyranoside is described and the use of methyl isobutyl ketone as a vehicle for the replacement of p-toluenesulfonate groups by iodide is recorded.
