Abstract A new tris (tetrathiafulvaleno) dodecadehydro [18] annulene with six peripheral n- hexyl substituents was prepared by oxidative Glaser–Hay cyclization of a corresponding diethynylated tetrathiafulvalene (TTF) precursor.
