摘要

Summary The explanation of the mechanism of the reduction of unsvmmetrical benzoins which was previously advanced has been substantiated in the present work. nt- Chlorobenzanisoin, which has not been described previously, is shown to be m-chloro-a- hydroxybenzyl p-methoxyphenyl ketone by an independent synthesis.
