Abstract A series of 5-(4-substituted benzylidene-2-(substituted benzo [d] thiazol-2-ylimino) thiazolidin-4-one (5a-r) have been synthesized from 2-aminobenzothiazole as starting material. Condensation of thiazolidin-4-one with different substituted aromatic benzaldehyde occurred at reactive methylene group present at C-5 position of thiazolidin-4-one ring and resulted in the formation of compounds (5a-r).
