Abstract The preparation of 3-bromo-, 3: 5-dibromo-, 3-nitro-, 3: 5-dinitro-, 3-bromo-5-nitro-, 3- amino-, 3-bromo-5-amino-, and 5-nitro-3-amino-substitution products of 4-hydroxybenzoic acid and of its methyl and n-butyl esters is described. General methods for the preparation of these compounds are discussed.
