Further work is reported concerning ring-fluorinated 2-acetamidofluorene (a carcinogen), and related compounds. Improved preparation of the 4-and 5-fluoro isomers is described together with preparation of the new l-fluoro and 8-fluoro-2-acetamidofluorenes.
