摘要

COOH IV carboxy-2'-methoxybiphenyl. The results are striking in comparison with those just discussed. The rate of racemization of the parent molecule is only very slightly modified; the chlorine decreases the rate to a minor degree, the bromine is ineffective, the nitro and methyl groups increase the rate. The comparison of the data is shown in Table I.
