【方法一】
由γ-丁内酸开环而得。将氢氧化钠在搅拌下溶于水中，于50-60℃滴加γ-丁内酯，加毕，继续保温搅拌2h，加活性炭脱色40min，过滤，滤液减压深缩至干，加乙醇搅拌成浆状，过滤，用少量乙醇洗涤，80℃以下干燥，得γ-羟基丁酸钠。收率90%。
