描述 | 这种酶是刘易斯血型基因的产物。通常作用于糖复合物,其中R(见反应)是糖蛋白或糖脂。虽然它是4-岩藻糖基转移酶,但它对游离乳糖中的葡萄糖残基具有持久的3-岩藻糖基转移酶活性。这种酶在O-3上携带半乳糖基的N-乙酰葡萄糖胺的O-4上岩藻糖基化,与EC 2.4.1.152不同,4-半乳糖基-N-乙酰葡萄糖胺3-α-L-岩藻糖基转移酶在O-4上携带半乳糖基的N-乙酰葡萄糖胺的O-3上岩藻糖基化。在植物中存在催化GlcNAc在β-D-Gal-(1→3)-β-GlcNAc序列中的4-α-岩藻糖基化的酶(一些活性也作为3-α-岩藻糖基转移酶),在植物体内的功能是修饰N-聚糖。此外,螺杆菌UA948的fucTa基因编码具有3-α-岩藻糖基转移酶和4-α-岩藻糖基转移酶活性的岩藻糖基转移酶。 反应:GDP-β-L-fucose + β-D-galactosyl-(1→3)-N-acetyl-D-glucosaminyl-R = GDP + β-D-galactosyl-(1→3)-[α-L-fucosyl-(1→4)]-N-acetyl-β-D-glucosaminyl-R |
