锰过氧化物酶来自白腐真菌(Phanerochaete chrysosporium)。它用于氧化锰并催化Mn2 +氧化为Mn3 +。然后,Mn3 +与草酸盐络合,草酸盐能够氧化木质素。Phanerochaete chrysosporium的锰过氧化物酶每个亚基结合2个钙离子。每个亚基结合1个血红素B(铁原卟啉IX)基团。一单位的锰过氧化物酶对应于在pH 4.5和25°C下每分钟将1μmolMn | 2+ |氧化为Mn | 3+ |的酶的量。 Manganese peroxidase is from white-rot fungus (Phanerochaete chrysosporium). It is used to oxidize manganese and catalyzes the oxidation of Mn2+ to Mn3+. Mn3+ is then in complex with oxalate, which is able to oxidize lignin. Manganese peroxidase from Phanerochaete chrysosporium binds 2 calcium ions per subunit. It binds 1 heme B (iron-protoporphyrin IX) group per subunit. One unit of Manganese peroxidase corresponds to the amount of enzyme, which oxidizes 1 μmole Mn|2+|per minute to Mn|3+|at pH 4.5 and 25° C
