Abstract

Abstract Isolation of 2-amino-3-(1H-1, 2, 4-triazol-3-yl) thiophenes in the hydrolytic cleavage reactions of isomeric triazolothienopyrimidines is reported. The 2-amino-3- triazolylthiophenes on reaction with one carbon donors were found to cyclize to 1, 2, 4- triazolo [1, 5-c] thienopyrimidines, exclusively.
