Abstract

Thionylamines (RS= S= O) are related structurally to ketenes (R% C= C= O) isocyanates (RN= C= O) and isothiocyanates (RX== C= S). These different classes of compounds have a pair of terminal cumulated unsaturated groups and take part in a number of reactions in common.
