Abstract

The regioselective transfer hydrogenation of a carbon-carbon double bond of different chlorobenzylidene ketones is effectuated in ethylene glycol with a very high selectivity in the presence of homogeneous, tris (triphenylphosphine) ruthenium (II) chloride catalyst.
