Abstract

Conclusions Low concentrations of tertiary amines inhibit the liquid-phase autoxidation of cumene by a mechanism which is similar to the one proposed by Russell for inhibition of cumene by tetralin.* Thus they possess the two criteria, high reactivity toward propagation and termination, required by the Russell mechanism.
