The reaction of 1, l-dichlorosilacyclohexane and 1, l-dimethylsilacyclohexane with sulfuryl chloride was studied. The chlorination of 1, l-dichlorosilacyclohexane caused little opening of the ring which was extensive during the chlorination of 1, l-dimethylsilacyclohexane.
