Abstract: Photodechlorination of 2, 2', 3, 3', 6, 6'-hexachlorobiphenyl (HCB) solubilized in an aqueous solution of poly (sodium styrenesulfonate-co-2-vinylnaphthalene)(PSSS-VN) was studied with use of solar-simulated radiation. The reaction was found to be photosensitized by the naphthalene antenna units present in the copolymer.
