Abstract

For synthetic purposes, introduction of the diazo function at methylene positions flanked by two carbonyl groups proceeds smoothly with tosyl azide-sodium hydride or. p- carboxybenzenesulfonyl azide-triethylamine and leads to no separation problems after reaction.
