Abstract A series of aliphatic and benzylic bifunctional boronate esters have been prepared as potential ligands for affinity chromatography. α-Acetamido, picolino, thioureido and acetamidino boronates have the hetero atom coordinated with the boron, creating a tetrahedral structure.
