Abstract

Abstract: A new type of homogeneous transition metal catalyzed process, redox fragmentation of allyl ethers in the presence of tris (triphenylphosphine) ruthenium (II) dichloride (l), is reported. a, a-Dimethylallyl benzyl ethers give benzaldehyde and 2-methyl-2- butene.
