Abstract: Re (NAr),(CH-t-Bu) CI (Ar= 2, 6-C&,-i-Prz) reacts with 3 equiv of HCI in diethyl ether to give [ArNH,][Re-(Ct-Bu)(NHAr) CI,](la) as an insoluble orange powder.[NEt,][Re (Ct- Bu)(NHAr) CI,](lb) can be prepared from la by cation exchange.
