Abstract

The 4-sulfonamide-3, 5-dimethylisoxazole heterocyclic fragment is present in a number of physiologically active compounds. Thus, variously substituted derivatives of 4-[(3, 5- dimethylisoxazol-4-yl) sulfonyl] piperazine are inhibitors of metalloproteinases described as promising anticancer agents [1].
