Abstract

Two earlier attempts2 were made in this Laboratory to solve the problem presented in the reaction between 4-phenylsemicarbazide and acetylacetone. Posner3 worked out the reaction between semicarbazide and acetylacetone, obtaining 3, 5-dimethylpyrazole-l- carbonamide.
