Abstract

Abstract The preparation of 2.5-diphenyl-1-silacyclopentadienes and their reaction with iron carbonyls and π-cyclopentadienyl-dicarbonylcobalt yielding metal-π-silole complexes is described. Mass spectral data indicate the existence of an 'aromatic'silacyclopentadienyl species.
