Abstract Deuterated analogues of C-phenyl N-tert-butyl nitrone (PBN) were synthesized to provide significant gains in spectral sensitivity and resolution in electron paramagnetic resonance (EPR) and electron nuclear double resonance (ENDOR) applications.
