Abstract By reacting suitably activated aromatic and hetero-aromatic halogen compounds with N-hydroxyurethane, N-hydroxyphthalimide, or the ethyl ester of aceto-hydroximic acid, several new derivatives of O-arylhydroxylamines have been obtained, such as a series of aromatic and hetero-aromatic N-ethoxycarbonyl-hydroxyl-amines (tables 1 and 2), two N- phenoxy-phthalimides, and a new N-phenoxy-acetimido tthyl ester.
