Abstract

The highly selective single Michael addition of diethyl vinylphosphonate to alkylamines represents a very versatile synthetic route affording a large variety of novel multifunctional phosphonates including aminoalkylphosphonates, phosphonate functional silanes, and phosphonate-functionalized acrylic monomers.
