Abstract

Protein tyrosine phosphatases (PTPs) are important therapeutic targets for medicinal chemists and biochemists. General strategies for the development of inhibitors of these enzymes are needed. Several modular strategies which rely on phosphotyrosine mimics are known for PTP inhibitors.
