Abstract

Low-temperature'H NMR measurements on a mixture of M (q3-CH2CMeCHz)(acac)(1, M= Pt; 2, M= Pd) and 2 equiv of PPh3 or 1 equiv of (Z)-Ph2PCH= CHPPh2 in dichloromethane gave unambiguous evidence for the formation of the ion pair [M (q3-CHzCMeCHz)(PR3) z]+~ CH (COMe) z]-.
