Abstract

Abstract Asymmetrically substituted selenides of the type (CH 3) 3 MCH 2 SeR, where M= Si, Ge, Sn and R= CH 3 and C 6 H 5, have been prepared by the reaction of Group IV halides with lithium organoselenolates and characterized by their infra-red, Raman, 1 H, 13 C and 77 Se (M= Si, Ge) NMR spectra.
