Abstract: The methyltetraethyl and the diethyldimethyl derivatives of the A4-1, 3-diborolene heterocycle CB2H6, 6a, b, were used for the synthesis of the triple-decker series (T&H,) M (~ C, B, H,) M'(~~-C~ H,), with MM'= FeCo, CoCo, CoNi, and NiNi (30-33 valence electrons).
