Bromotrich1oromethane.-To a mixture of 3.86 g.(0.01 mole) of 13, mp 186-187", and 5.95 g.(0.03 mole) of bromotrichloromethane in 12 g. of toluene at 80-85'was added slowly with stirring a solution of 0.12 g. of benzoyl peroxide in 5.95 g. of bromotrichloromethane.
