Abstract

H ydr oxyethox y) me thyl]-5-(phen ylselenenyl) uracil (PS AU, 1 8) and 1-(e thox yme thyl)-5- (phen ylse-1enenyl) uracil (1 7) were synthesized by the electrophilic addition of benzeneselenenyl chloride to the acyclic uracils under basic conditions.
