In Vivo In SM-6586-treated spontaneously hypertensive rats, the survival rate after bilateral common carotid artery ligation is higher, the brain water content is lower, and the ATP level is higher and lactate level. In focal ischemia models, the SM-treated group shows a reduction of T1 relaxation time. The brain water content is significantly decreased in the SM-treated group[1].
